Women give birth and apply ice, hot water on the abdomen can be fatal

The old ones always let the women give birth after the new ones, put stones - pots, burn salt or ice, pillows, hot water on the abdomen. This habit is often repeated because it is believed that it helps to relieve pain and boil the abdominal muscles as soon as possible.

Such beliefs and practices have been argued by obstetricians that the most dangerous is not to continue because it is not in accordance with medical rules.

Dr. Chan Sineth, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cambodia-China Friendship Referral Hospital, Sen Sok, explained that after childbirth, our female uterus needs contractions to return to its original state. Disruption of uterine contractions leads to intrauterine bleeding leading to infection from the bottom of the vagina into the lining of the uterus, which eventually develops into endometriosis or peritonitis.

On the other hand, after childbirth, if the uterus does not contract properly, there may be bleeding or postpartum hemorrhage, which is the most dangerous problem for the health of mothers can die if not treated in time. During pregnancy, the uterine and uterine arteries dilate, and after delivery, the uterine-uterine arteries gradually contract back to normal, usually taking about 3-4 weeks.

In the case of women who give birth to a baby and still have a belly, you can use a tummy tuck or exercise. Doing this after giving birth for a month and a half or after we start menstruating normally is good and healthy as before.
